Chef Cindy's Story...
A native of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Cindy grew up surrounded by a mecca of diverse cultures, cuisines and natural resources which produced a healthy inclination to try new things. This rich environment led to her interest in food and travel at an early age. Chef Cindy has traveled worldwide during her 27-year career in the military and engaged in culinary cultural “research” wherever she went.
After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 2014 as a Lieutenant Colonel, Cindy used her G.I. Bill to go to culinary school. After two years of training in everything from baking and pastry to world cuisine, Cindy graduated at the top of her class. Capitalizing on her years of experience in public relations, education and training and developing instructional systems for multiple career specialties within the Air Force by creating a unique type of culinary training experience. You'll learn about the culture as well as the techniques of the cuisine in Cindy's classes.She has a menu of world culture and cuisine classes which she's taught to middle and high school students, along with every age and experience level. Culinary classes can be conducted in your kitchen or Cindy's own kitchen or outdoor grills.
Chef Cindy has trained under numerous world-renowned chefs studying everything from cake decorating to smoke and live fire cooking with PBS’s Steven Raichlen, graduating from Barbeque University in 2017. In 2018, she went to the Americas Cake Fair and launched her Couture Cookies and Cakes business.
Since then, she's opened "Couture Kitchens" in Colorado, Texas and Florida, offering courses in baking, pastry, culinary fundamentals, outdoor grilling, and a variety of fascinating, seasonal and delicious world cuisine classes.
